19-Year-Old Man Charged with First-Degree Murder

A 19-year-old man was arrested and charged with first degree murder following a robbery that occurred over the weekend. Gerrell D. Rufus, of Memphis was arrested on July 10, 2011 and charged with first-degree murder in perpetration of the felony of aggravated assault.

According to reports, Bari Graham, 29, and another man were robbed at gunpoint by two men in a Raleigh apartment building. They were allegedly forced inside an apartment they were exiting by the two men.

Both men were robbed for cash. Graham reportedly died after being shot in the head. Rufus is being held without bond in Shelby County Jail. Police have not disclosed information about the second gunman.
